sonoma wineries

Sonoma Visitor's Bureau

Kendall Jackson - I was most impressed with the gardens.  While we were wondering through their expansive gardens, the chef had come out to clip out some fresh herbs.

Seghesio - We are big fans of Seghesio.   The grounds are pretty unassuming compared to others, however the people are friendly, there's a bocce ball court outside and the wine is fantastic.  We especially love the Rock Pile Zinfandel.

Ferrari-Carano - One of the most beautiful grounds of any winery we've ever been to. You feel transported to Italy, and they have roaming chickens! What's not to love?!? Chickens!

St. Francis - St. Francis Cab is one of our favorite wines to keep on hand.  We love the grounds, such a pretty spot to stop on a sunny afternoon.

Ravenswood - A bit off the beaten path, however if you are in the city of Sonoma having lunch, this one is a great spot to go, as it is a very short drive from the square.  The people at Ravenswood can't be beat. We had a great time when we stopped there.

Chateau St. Jean - So gorgeous. Be sure to try the wines in the reserve room. The Cinq Cepages is our favorite. A bit expensive, but absolutely fabulous.  We like to buy a bottle and grab a few sandwiches from their Charcuterie and sit outside at a table in their gardens and enjoy an afternoon with friends and good wine.

Kenwood - Super laid back with awesome wine.  This is one of those wineries that you go to for the wine, not the estate as it's a pretty unassuming tasting room.  Kenwood's Jack London Zinfandel is one of our favorites to drink on a warm summer day.
