 Do you know what happens when you allow your dog to stand on 3 long boxes for months on end?

Well, after two and a half months of Barkley enjoying the boxes immensely, we broke down and actually built something and look what they have become! 72 inches by 72 inches of pure office storage bliss.

OK not, just like that.  There was some cursing involved.

God bless those Swedes for making build-your-own furniture. We love them. In fact, most of our apartment is furnished by them.  Most of those pieces were built by me.  You see, I house most of the patience in this apartment.  This project however required a lot more dexterity and manual strength.  That which I don't have.  (Plus, we wanted to make sure this large and heavy unit wouldn't come collapsing down on some unsuspecting house guest.)  We are good people...thinking about our house guests and all. 

Anywho, here is our very large cubby unit.  I'm a big fan...I think 2011 is going to be the year of organization.

I say this as I look at all of Mike's marketing materials stacked in neat little piles on the floor.  Someday, my friends, that each pamphlet will have its very own home.  Labeled and all.  For those observant folks...yes our champagne DOES get stored on top of a cubby system.  Isn't that where you store your champagne for the start of a new year?  No? Hmmm.

Ahhh yes, 2011 is going to be a great year.
