I know you are all on the edge of your seat from yesterday's post about Hess Winery. It appears I forgot to complete my thought about the soil sample that I'm standing next to. I love a good soil sample, but who doesn't? In my years at UW - Madison, I spent many - a - days looking at layers of soil, and trying to identify each soil type. My favorite soil type, you ask? Why, it's the Antigo Silt Loam (It's the state soil of Wisconsin...bet you had no idea that along with a state flag and state bird, there's also a state soil.) Yep. I'm here all week to give you fun facts just like that.
