wine times four

[our favorite bottle...just look how great it matches their walls!]

[starting left to right...our favorite to our not so favorite]

While we were in Wisconsin, we spent a wonderful night with friends in Milwaukee. It was so great to catch up, see their new house, and drink wine. We had a medley of wine, great wine, good wine and the kind of wine that needs to be poured out and a new bottle opened to take its place.
starting from right to left as seen in the picture above:
[1 star] Echelon; I'm always one to give the benefit of the doubt to the winemaker and this one is no different, I'm sure the reason why we had to pour it out was that it was a bad bottle, however I'm not sure if any of us will be heading out to buy a second bottle to prove us wrong.
[2.5 stars] forgive me but I have no idea what this one is called and I can't read (which is funny since our camera is so stellar, one would think that we would be able to see the remaining drops left in the bottom of the bottle...anyways, this one was good. and that's all i have to say about the nameless bottle.
[3 stars] greg norman did a great job on this bottle, and yes i'm sure greg himself was working on this particular bottle. it was a good one. again i probably should have written down notes about each bottle while it was fresh in my mind. funny that 2 weeks later i can't keep them straight. OK not so funny, i really like them all. well pretty much.
[4.5 stars] root...really great. great bottle, great taste, great everything.
thanks again to bg & kg to have us over and letting us drink all your wine! your house is amazing and your neighborhood makes us want to move right on down the street. so cute. thanks again. can't wait to come visit again, and of course for you guys to come visit us and drink more wine! (which I will then blog about instantly, I'm sure!)
