Seghesio

So, you know that I've told you once or twice about our love of Sonoma wineries, right?  Well in our latest installment, we went to a different sort of winery experience in that of the Seghesio tasting room in Healdsburg, just off the town square.   Although you don't have the grand views of vines as far as the eye can see, you do have bocce ball courts located under the tall redwood trees and if you are ever lucky enough to attend a private event, they have wood fired pizzas, among other things, but when I heard about the pizza event, I was SOLD.

pizza+wine+bocce = sweet event
[just in case you weren't following along, I just gave you the formula for fun.]

Alas, I have never been lucky enough to be invited to such event, but Mike gets lucky enough to do such things as part of his "work". One of these times, I will go along and report back to you - you know for the good of my readers.  The things I wouldn't do for you people.

Our favorite wine while we were at the winery was the Rock Pile Zinfandel.  It is delightfully bold.   Whenever we are out for dinner we are always drawn to the Seghesio Zin on the wine list.  Strangely (at multiple restaurants) they never tell you the specific Seghesio Zin you are ordering...however after having the Rock Pile Zin, I think I've figured it out.  I did a little detective work with my taste buds and have decided that the Rock Pile Zin must be what we are ordering when we are out and about. Next time, however, I'll do a little detective work with my eyes to let you know if my hypothesis is true.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so delighted you enjoyed your visit and love hearing that you often allow us to grace your table while out and about!
